My decision to come to Foothill wasn’t easy, and it never got any easier to stay here. The time that I had to make the decision made it even harder. My eighth grade year already had me down in enough stress already, and then I had my parents making it worse. But, that was all relieved once I decided to come here.
The choices I had were limited: Foothill and Buena. El Camino was out, what numbskull would go there, when you have things called friends? I would’ve rather gone to Ventura than go to St. Bonie. So it was narrowed down to those two.
My main problem was that I knew a lot about Buena, but I didn’t know much about Foothill, other than that it was the school for nerdlings. I had to take opinions from multiple people, mostly friends who go to Foothill. They all said that it was a great school with many opportunities. The way that I began to lean started for Foothill, but I still had doubts.
The final thing I had to do was talk to myself, sometimes literally. Buena had what looked like great physical science classes, my strong subject. Foothill had less people, more technology, and a reputation for excellence. It was tough but I finally came through.
The decision was clear: enter for Foothill, if I get in, I go there, if not, I’m at Buena. Obviously I got in. I am pretty happy with the school. Most of my friends made it, except for one, who didn’t even try to get in. It has been an excellent school, but it makes it tough on me to stay in. Hopefully I have enough sanity to stay in, but that might fade away quickly.
